Maheesha Lakshani De Silva is one of the young and upcoming Talents in the highly competitive Sri Lankan Bridal and Beauty Industry. As the only daughter of Dayananda De Silva – a Legend and a Well-respected figure within the Local & International Bridal community, Maheesha began her bright career as a 13 years old teenager due to her unique creativity and dedication.
Her dearest father, a Presidential Award Winner – Dayananda De Silva was a pioneer of the Sri Lankan bridal industry and an iconic bridal and beauty instructor, who has already paved the way for hundreds of young beauticians to establish their careers successfully. By collaborating her Father’s classic guide lines and her own skillful artistry, Maheesha has created her own unique style which would be a perfect combination of Traditional and Modern Beauty & Bridal trends.
She was extremely fortunate enough to be an apprentice of the Industry Giants such as Michael Wijesuriya and Ramani Fernando, which allowed her to honed and polished her abilities to the next level. During her young career, she was able to participate in numerous local and International events while gaining plenty of awards and achievements for herself and her country.
Mahessha’s distinctive adventurous appetite for creativity took a drastic step forward to the future in 2010, when she launched her new Bridal, Beauty & Fashion Business and her own brand – “Salon Cleopatra ”. Presently, “Salon Cleopatra” has become a household brand among a huge variety of Bridal and Beauty enthusiasts in Sri Lanka.
As an exciting extension of her own skill set, Maheesha has already surpassed her own exceptions of “Fashion Designing” aspect. Working as a Fashion Consultant and a Fashion Designer for “Hiru Star” – One of the most popular Musical Reality Shows in Sri Lanka, is one of her most recent national level contributions.
For Mahessha, Beauty, Bridal and Fashion Industry is not only her day-to-day occupation, but also her whole life. Her ultimate ambition is to make more and more people joyful and colourful, by adding a touch of beauty to their lives.
